
I would give Lauren and this course 5 stars. Excellent presentation of relevant information in an atmosphere of acceptance. Your research and responsiveness to questions and interests was over the top. I’m still backtracking to “catch-up” with all the great resources you gave.
Two hour sessions should have felt like a long time but it flew by because each meeting was so interesting. I really looked forward to each session.
I loved your class and teaching style (incorporating student interaction, sharing, and demonstrations). I feel very fortunate that we’ve met you and that you did this course for us. It was excellent. You made it look so easy, comfortable, and interesting.
Course was well organized and subject material was presented in an excellent manner.
Group times were a nice balance of instruction and sharing.
Our weekly reviews of each chapter, our discussions, the exercises, the resources, your knowledge of lifestyle wellness and making small changes/habit stacking as an on ramp to individual journeys were a great way of framing this important topic. I really benefited from each session and enjoyed our small group. This is a great series and you are a very thoughtful and inspiring teacher. You were meant to do this!
Your openness and willingness to share your medical, science, nutritional, and wellness insights along with your own personal journey made the class incredibly interesting, valuable, and relatable. You are very generous about sharing so much information with the class and in your approach to answering questions.
The class was life/mindset changing in that it re-enforced some of the knowledge I’ve gained through my own reading but added a deeper level of understanding on the subject of wellness. I loved that the class felt like a small supportive community of new friends.
I loved the exercise of bringing in food labels and reading them together. I read labels all the time, but after class I came away with a deeper understanding of some terms and a way to think about ratios. The resources you shared about labels, the food industry, and things to think about in the grocery store were also very helpful.
Your kindness, compassion, and care for this community is evident. Thank you for the opportunity to meet neighbors and make new friends while learning how to live a healthier life, even with cancer.
